Before joining TTT, I was sceptical about being able to improve my English grades. I was learning English at a different tuition centre, but did not see any improvement in my English grade. The lessons lacked direction and all I did was do several practice papers during each lesson.
However, after attending lessons at TTT, I can finally understand why my former schoolmates often raved about Mr. Russell, a teacher who previously taught at my school, but quit MOE to start his own centre. Mr. Russell is an extremely dedicated teacher, and he often curates and writes good materials. His notes are detailed, structured, with a clear learning objective. I found myself enjoying his lessons. Even during the circuit breaker period, he also adapted his lessons so that we can still carry on with effective lessons on zoom.

I really enjoyed the comprehension drilling lessons, and I loved how it was crafted to focus on a specific question type. The drill packages have enabled me to understand the thinking and answering template for each specific question type, as well as the range of possible questions that can be tested for any set question. This allowed me to consider my answers carefully, and to avoid making the errors that most people would normally make.

Thanks to the lessons at TTT, I became more motivated for EL and I worked really hard to maintain the top 3 position in my class (fun fact: the top 3 students are all studying at TTT). For the recent prelim exams, l even managed to top my class and score an A2! This was something that made me really happy as I had started out with scoring a C6 my S3 MYE. I would like to thank Mr Russell for his dedication and patience in guiding me and helping me to improve and maintain my English grades.
