Ever since I was young, l have always constantly struggled with the English Language subject. I thought English had a luck factor in it, but little did I know English is similar to Mathematics and there are a set of guidelines to follow, especially in terms of skills and answering techniques, which can help me to obtain a higher mark. After just 8 months at TTT, I was able to improve by four grades!
TTT has a unique and innovative approach towards English. Mr. Russell teaches comprehension, essay writing and situational writing by focusing on both the basic skills as well as more sophisticated skills, such as persuasive skills. I had fun trying them out and it really gave me some direction and structure so that I can focus on the tried and tested steps to make improvements. The drill sessions also enabled us to practise the thinking process and answering techniques for each question type and it has helped us to learn the skills required properly and with ease.
Learning at TTT is also fun. Mr. Russell makes the lessons fun and productive at the same time. He cracks a few jokes which brightens our mood for the next task of the lesson. He also has an awesome collection of star wars props which the students are allowed to use and duel with each other as a form of entertainment.
My interest in English has grown by leaps and bonds due to the innovative and highly-structured approach implemented at TTT. This has helped me to appreciate the beauty of the subject. I would like to thank Mr. Russell for his care and support, as well as for his drive and passion in wanting to deliver good lessons and good notes.
