Before joining TTT, I was only able to achieve Bs or Cs for my EL. Yet, I had no idea how I could improve and what I could study for in order to achieve a higher grade. When I first started attending lessons at TTT, I began to realise that there were a lot of components in EL and that it is a subject that I could actually be studied for. At TTT, I was taught the different question types, as well as the relevant strategies and skills needed to answer the question effectively. The notes given were well-written and organised, offering step-by-step methods and solutions to assist us in answering the various question types – making them extremely effective and easy to understand.

At TTT, Mr. Russell would tell us some of his personal experiences and examples, which would not only help us remember the example and content better, but also make the class less tiring and more engaging. The lessons at TTT have really helped me to understand how to tackle different comprehension question types in the most effective manner – granting me enough confidence and knowledge to tackle any question that would appear during my exams. When doing past year papers, or even other school papers, Mr. Russell would analyse the questions in class, and discuss how teachers set the exam paper. This allowed me to be more aware of the distractors and requirements in a question, as well as how to answer the question in a more precise and careful manner.

I would like to thank Mr. Russell for putting in the effort into making the comprehensive set of notes and I would definitely recommend TTT to other students as it has been effective in helping me and my friends to better understand English and to achieve a better grade. I was overjoyed when I scored an A2 and came in 2nd in class during my prelim exams and I believe I could not have done it without Mr Russell’s help.
