Before joining TTT, I had already lost hope for my English and had absolutely no interest in the subject. My foundation in English was very weak, and I often find myself failing my English during my exams. Furthermore, I never found English to be fun or interesting to study.
However, after joining TTT, it has completely changed my perspective of English as a subject and it has even given me hope to work harder to do well for my examinations. My teacher, Mr Russell is not any ordinary tuition teacher – he is fun, interesting and he makes English seem so simple and easy to study. In fact, he is the best English teacher that I have ever had. His notes and teaching style allows him to teach in a simple, yet comprehensive manner. Mr Russell is extremely hardworking and he is very determined to help his students to excel in their examinations.
Mr Russell teaches English in a way it can be studied, just like Maths or Science, which allowed me to get enough practice during the short amount of time I had before my O Levels. His approach to answering the different types of questions really helped me to study better for English and to actually have a clear view on what to do during the exams. The step-by-step approach is very helpful and easy to remember. With TTT, I managed to pull my grade up from a fail (E8) to a B4.
TTT gave me the hope that I never expected to experience again, and inspired me to be more motivated and driven for the subject. Since then, I have highly encouraged my friends to TTT. I am proud to be part of the centre, and I am confident that my friends would definitely like it too. I am extremely grateful to the friends who recommended me to join TTT as it has truly changed my life for the better, and to Mr Russell for always having enough faith and support for me!
