Before I joined TTT, I often struggled to do well for EL and had very little interest in the subject. However, after joining TTT, I became a more passionate learner, with a greater desire to want to learn more and do well for EL.
One of the main reasons for this transformation is due to the quality of lessons and notes at the centre. At TTT, I learnt to see that EL can be studied, and I learnt different skills and techniques to tackle comprehension, essay writing and speech writing, and this was something that I have not learnt in school. The notes are also useful and simple to understand, which makes it efficient for learning.
Another reason for this transformation is because of my teacher. Mr Russell is very patient and willing to help me whenever I encounter difficulties with my work. He is also generous, and he has bought us food as well as McDonalds breakfast before our EOY. More importantly, Mr Russell is also a unique teacher and he conducts his lessons in a fun and interesting manner which makes me more passionate about English, with a greater desire to want to learn more.
This was something that was surprising to me because I used to dislike learning English. I would definitely recommend Mr Russell to my other friends as his way of teaching and pace of teaching would really suit them, as Mr Russell is very organised, meticulous and strategic in terms of teaching and preparing us for our exams. I would like to thank my teacher for putting in time and effort to prepare the best notes for us, as well as his effort in making sure that we were well prepared for the end of year exams this year. His effort made me love English more and enabled me to jump from scoring a B4 during S1 EOY to an A2 for S2 EOY as well as come in top in class!
