In the past, I would often struggle in terms of doing well for comprehension and I would often feel like giving up, but once I entered secondary school, I realised that I could actually do quite well in this area. This was thanks to Mr. Russell, who was my teacher in school, and now my current teacher at TTT. At TTT, I learnt various comprehension techniques and understood the various approaches, answering format and thinking skill required for each question type.
The drills enabled me to do constant practices in that area and also to understand whether there are any gaps in my understanding of the skills and what to do (or what not to do).
I also enjoy the essay and situational writing lessons, and I like the fact that Mr. Russell tends to prepare us in advance, usually around 1-2 months before my school teacher begins on a new form of writing. This allows me to master and perfect the writing techniques required even before my school teacher teaches them.
Thank you Mr. Russell for the constant encouragement. There are times when I did not secure an A1, but he would constantly encourage and motivate me to do even better. I will continue to work harder to secure an A grade in Secondary 3.
