Before I joined the centre, I only managed to get a C6 for English. My mother quickly tried to get a tutor for me, and I was recommended by many to work with Mr. Russell. With the help of my teacher, I was able to improve by 3 grades to a B3 in just slightly more than a year.
What I really like about the centre is the great notes that were easy to understand, and skill-focused, that helped me to work harder, and made me feel that EL is actually a subject that can be studied. I became more motivated to work harder, because I knew that I could take actual steps towards greater success. Also, I feel that it has boosted my confidence, as I often learnt ahead of the syllabus, so I was always prepared for whatever my school may test. The notes are also very detailed, providing extra details that are necessary but sometimes not covered in school. Essentially, the notes were very organised and super helpful!
I think a very interesting part of the experience is that I can get to make new friends. Although I was the only one from my school, it was not awkward after a few sessions, because Mr. Russell would often try to get us to do some group work which allowed us to bond. He also often made jokes to make the class environment more lively and fun. I would recommend TTT to other students as the teachers are great and their notes are the very best!
