Before joining TTT my English results were always in a range of E8 to F9. I struggled a lot with English yet could not see any way to improve my grades. However, after just 6 months at TTT, I managed to score a C6 for my O Levels! Personally, the C6 was a big deal to me as in the past, I always felt uncomfortable using English to communicate and had little to no confidence to pass English. Joining TTT allowed me to slowly fall in love with English and I feel fine communicating in English now.
I believe that Mr Russell’s passion to teach is what made me fall in love with English. During class, Mr Russell would go around and ask us questions which pushed us to think further for ourselves. Whenever we had questions, he also made sure to answer them with as much clarity as possible to prevent any further doubts from forming. Outside of class, Mr Russell would constantly remind us that he was always available if we had any questions or needed consultation. I greatly appreciate how willing Mr Russell was to help us improve.
Besides that, I especially love how TTT focuses on teaching us skills instead of just doing mindless practices. TTT taught me skills to not only tackle all the possible comprehension question types but also to take on various essay questions which I didn’t even know required any skills beforehand. The skills and techniques I learnt at TTT were completely new to me as my school had never taught us anything like that. If not for TTT, I believe I would have continued struggling to even understand what was going on in class and during examinations. Thus, I would highly recommend TTT to all students who are keen for a wonderful English tuition experience.
