Mr Russell is a teacher with great passion and enthusiasm. He never fails to motivate us to push ourselves to study harder for the language. He made English more pleasant to learn. Furthermore, he is always there to provide feedback for our work and goes the extra mile to help us cope with our learning by conducting consultation lessons and marking extra essays that we submit. Mr Russell’s creative way of teaching has equipped us with a positive attitude towards the subject.
The lessons at The Thought Tailor were enjoyable and engaging as Mr Russell would occasionally crack jokes to make lessons more interesting. At the same time, lessons are also productive and we often get to group up with our peers for idea generation and brainstorming. This allowed us to further strengthen our essay writings.
On top of that, we are provided with concise notes for us to understand the lessons better. The notes allowed us to explore a myriad of skills and tips that we might not have known before joining the centre. The notes are really useful as it helps us broaden our knowledge towards the language and also provides us with broader contexts through real life examples, aiding us in Oral examinations and essay writings.
The lessons conducted by Mr Russell helped me improve my results for the subject, and I managed to improve from a B4 to an A2. At the O Levels, I managed to score an A2 for English. Overall, I am very satisfied with the learning experience that I had with The Thought Tailor and would highly recommend all students to join.
