Who once used to be unfamiliar with the term “studying for English”, I walked out of TTT with a whole new impression of the subject.
Mr Russell provides clear, concise and compact notes, which feeds one with more than enough information for them to tackle the examinations. For instance, I recall being in a frenzy for the oral exam. However, the notes that he provided us allowed me to improve my knowledge of different genres such as technology, youths, sports, and the list goes on! The ample amount of practice Mr Russell provided alongside the help of the other TTT staff helped me build confidence in myself just a week before walking into the exam hall.
Furthermore, Mr Russell has taught us a plethora of techniques to answer our comprehension questions, which has assisted me in having more clarity in my answers. I remembered myself barely passing comprehension back in my Secondary 3 exams, but I found my grades improving steadily under his guidance.
Mr Russell also taught us methods for our essays to stand out from the rest, at the same time providing us with a lot of information through his notes to make our essays juicier.
I’m very grateful to Mr Russell for not only going out of his way to answer our queries, but also for critiquing our essays and providing us with ways to take it up a notch
Thanks to TTT, I managed to improve from a B4 to an A2. I also managed to get an A2 for O level English. TTT is a place I recommend to everyone who wants to ace their English O’s!
