TTT has changed my whole perception of English. At first, like many others, I found English to be a subject that cannot be studied and that is based on common sense. However, my grade would never go above a low B. I found myself struggling with essay writing as well as answering and understanding reading comprehension. That was until I joined TTT.
Though skeptical at first, my teachers, Mr Russell and Ms Melody, opened a whole new world to English. They introduced many strategies and techniques that would enhance my essay writing, which helped me score a much higher grade than I ever thought I could achieve. Tackling comprehension papers also became much easier with all the notes given by my teachers which are crystal clear on how to answer the different types of comprehension questions.
I found myself referring to their notes more than the ones my school gave. Safe to say, my grades improved drastically, even when I moved from the NA to the Express English stream, and I am still able to keep up with my grades even in the express stream.
Furthermore, both Mr Russell and Ms Melody are very passionate in their teaching, often making their lessons interesting by sharing their personal experiences and stories. They are also able to accurately pinpoint student’s weaknesses and seek to help tackle them the best they can, making sure we master our weaknesses before moving on.
Their constant push for us to go further is what makes me so motivated to try my very best in English. Their patience, encouragement, and belief in their students are truly remarkable.
To date, I have yet to see them give up on any students. Overall, every lesson is highly entertaining and interesting due to how passionate the teachers are about teaching English and wanting to bring out the best in all of us.
