After attending lessons at TTT with Mr Russell, I noticed that I had made a lot of improvements in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The notes given are well-crafted and are extremely helpful for me as they include the crucial strategies to score in the subject. For example, I have learnt many writing techniques for the various types of essays, which have built my confidence in writing. I have also acquired the strategies and skills needed to score in the narrative and factual comprehension. Such as close reading, looking out for keywords and identifying question types. Overall, this has greatly boosted my confidence and ability in English!
I am also very thankful to have Mr Russell as my teacher as he is a very meticulous and patient teacher which has been key to my improvement in English. During lessons, he stresses on the importance of important things to take note of as well as common mistakes made by many students so that we would not make the same mistakes. Not only that, he is also willing to help each and every student individually, such as how when O Levels were round the corner, he often encouraged students to book consults and send essays for him to mark and comment on their work. I really appreciate his determination in helping students to ace the subject! I am grateful to him for getting me my A2 in English.
