Before joining TTT, English was my weakest subject. I found comprehension questions tricky, and my compositions were always mediocre. I feared that tuition might just give me writing and comprehension tasks without offering in-depth guidance.
However, TTT’s notes are extremely comprehensive and helpful. Since joining, I have gained valuable knowledge on the different question types tested in comprehension papers, as well as how to structure my writing properly. The notes go in-depth into literary devices and techniques for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, which is something rarely provided in school notes or regular lessons.
With the TTT spoken interaction notes, not only have my oral marks improved, but I have also found myself expressing my opinions more eloquently in conversations. I now incorporate vocabulary that I had never used before.
The teachers (Ms. Melody and Mr. Russell) at TTT are very caring and they provide comprehensive and constructive feedback on my argumentative compositions. This feedback stays with me and helps me improve with every draft. They guide me on which points are too extreme, which ones are too weak, and how to assert my position effectively. They were always patient, and their detailed feedback during oral communication practices at the tuition center ensures that I do not repeat the same mistakes. The teachers also provide thorough feedback on comprehension papers, addressing my misconceptions and helping me phrase my answers better. I am happy to have secured an A2 for O level English.
