My journey at TTT was memorable, yet tough. It was tough as I had to go through all the different components in English which I never knew existed when I relied solely on school! Before joining TTT, I struggled greatly in my English Language, and have always gotten a U grade in my report book. It was always extremely devastating and unmotivating as English is the most important subject. However, after joining TTT, my grades have quickly jumped from a U to a Pass!
The lessons were always well-prepared, with a clear objective in mind. The resources prepared are always created with the goal to let students understand and master the skill in the most effective way possible. The step-by-step strategy really enhanced my understanding, as well as broadened my ability to tackle skills that I was struggling with. Afterwards, they provided worksheets with carefully selected questions to help us develop greater experience. I am extremely grateful for this, especially in terms of the oral examination component. My school teachers did not have the proper time to really help me improve significantly but Mr Russell provided me with constructive feedback, effective notes, and great advice to help me to improve.
He also emphasised the importance of the oral examination and did multiple sessions to ensure that I make concrete improvements.
Mr Russell is also very engaging. He would always attempt to use different techniques to make the class laugh and to catch student’s attention. He was always very passionate., and constantly checked on us to view our progress. A memorable thing I will never forget was summary writing. He had asked us to redo the summary writing until we were able to capture all the points. It was a great way to show what the gaps in understanding were and how we could resolve it. Furthermore, he never hesitated to give us extra consultation. He would always guide us patiently throughout and has never once lost any sort of faith in us.
I would like to thank him for his unwavering support and guidance throughout my entire journey at TTT. Even though it was only a short year with him, I have learnt a lot and would definitely remember all the things that he has done for us. Thank you.
